186615_kidding_around_4.jpgOnce you have decided you want to plant a fruit tree in your backyard you will need to first make a place for it. In addition, once you are ready to get the plant from the nursery be careful while bringing the same as there are chances that they can break in transportation.

Once the tree is safely, in the backyard, you would want to see how big the roots are and you will need to dig the hole twice as big and broad for the tree to rest properly. If the hole you make is very big, you will have lots of mud, which you will not know what to do with it so just dig how much is required.

After you have dug up add fertilizer to the soil and then plant the tree. Once you put the tree in the whole try and spread the roots into the hole so that the tree can stand erect and become strong and steady. The tree is in its place, see that you tree is complete straight and then only fill the hole. Put all the soil you had dug up into the hole to cover it completely and carefully so there is no loose soil in the hole otherwise you tree will have a slant on one side. If the tree is not completely straight then you can use a stake or a small rope to straighten it. The stakes are used for the tree to stand straight and will not fall of in the strong winds. Once the tree is strong, remove the stake as the tree can grow.

If you are in a place where wild life roams in the night try to fence the tree to avoid some of the animals from eating the bark of your tree. After the tree is 4 to 5 years, old it will start bearing fruits and the tree may not be able to take the load of fruits. Try to pick some of the ripe fruits from time to time so that the tree does not weigh down due to heavy fruits.

If the tree does not bear fruit one year you should not be worried as some of the trees do not bear fruits every year and if you tree is healthy it will bear the fruits the other year.
The pests are the other problems faced by the tree owners you need to spray pesticides and try to keep the area around the tree so that the pests do not have place to hide.
The tree should be trimmed every year at least once to keep it healthy and in the summers water it regularly. Try not to hit the tree with anything, as this will stop the growth of the tree.

Also, make sure that the tree is getting lots of sun and water and the tree will grow to be a very healthy tree and will make you a proud owner of a fruit tree.

365120_big_tree.jpgThe fruit giving trees are always such a sight. The luscious fruits hanging on to it is what all the tree owners dream. However, the worms infesting on the fruits is no one thinks about. The fruit tree is always prone to being infected with the worms.
The spraying of the pesticide is the only solution available and it is a very easy process and needs to be done only two or three weeks.

The spraying is a time consuming job and you need to buy the materials, the chemicals are mixed, spray them then clean the whole thing again. If the tree is big, you will need to reach all the branches, which will be another hassle to buy a ladder or some trolley where you can reach the top of the tree. All this doing every other week is quite cumbersome.

If you want to eat, the fruits of the trees you will need to do it or you can spend some money and hire professional people to do the job.

The moths lays eggs at the end of the branches if you see that immediately cut that branch out and start spraying as they grow very fast and will be all over the tree.
If you want to eat, the fruits go out and spray the tree. IF you are not aware, what chemicals to mix, what to use you can ask your local gardening shop for guidance.

802348_orlando_sunrise1.jpgWhen you planted the tree, it was just a sapling but now when it is growing it needs not only water and nutrient but also the support. The support is to make it stand straight. The tree should not slant one side therefore, the proper support is needed.

The tree is to be supported by standing it straight and putting a long bamboo or stake on both sides of the trees on the ground.

This will let the tree grow on its own and keep it straight. One-sided stake is not good, as it will stop the growth of the tree. The young tree needs proper rooting and to stop it from moving in the wind the staking should be done properly as other wise the tree will not grow if it is uprooted. The stakes should be able to hold the sides and the soil so that the tree can grow as much as possible.

If in itself the tree is strong, you do not need to stake it, as this will prevent it from growing normally. You should seek the advice of an expert if you do not know whether the tree needs staking. If you have a gardener or landscaping service, they will know what to do and they often do it without any hassles, as they are the experts.

However, doing it by yourself is also very easy; you just need to visit the gardening shop that will have all the equipments to stake the tree. In addition, they can guide you also on staking how to do and when to do it.

The staking is very simple; you just need three stakes and tie them separately near the bottom of the trunk.

Once you feel that the tree is standing tall by itself, you will know that it is time to remove the stake. The stake should be removed as slowly as possible without harming the tree. However, in case there is a strong wind, which can be harmful to the tree just, leave it on for some more days.

If you are expecting too much wind in your area later, temporarily remove the stakes as the tree is constricted in its movements and it can loose its energy. Once the winds blow, again you can stake them back.

The staking a tree is very important, if you are not sure then take the opinion of an expert, which will help your trees, grow in a healthy manner and will stand tall.
