Making sure that your fruit tree stays healthy is very important, but not as hard as some might think. Many things which you will need to know on how to keep the tree healthy.

1) Do not harvest all the fruits at a time. If the fruits are left on the tree they can become very heavy
and the branches to snap because of this. Try and remove the fruits before they are completely ready. Even if you do not want to remove them till they are ready. This will help the tree to shed some of its weight. Do not remove all the fruits at a time also as this will also be damaging.

2) Make sure the soil is healthy and fertile. The soil should have good amount of nutrients in them for the tree to grow healthy. You will need to know that different types of tree need different soil. Make sure the tree you are about to plant is right of the kind of soil you are using. If the tree you want to grow needs different types of soil you can make modifications in the soil.

3) The main and important aspect would be to keep the tree pest free. To keep the tree healthy try to remove places where the pests can thrive. Like old piles of brush, weeds, old leaves and any other place where the pests have a place to hide. You can make sure that the pests do not survive on the tree is by using repellants and sprays. Turn the soil of the tree around on a regular basis as the pests could be hiding somewhere you cannot see and most of the time they are the most harmful ones.

4) The tree needs to plant correctly and if you do not plant it properly it cannot remain a healthy tree. Before you plant a tree always look up on the internet and get all the instructions on how to plant that particular tree. The base should be strong for the tree to stand tall. Always spread the roots while planting the tree this will make the tree stable and strong.

5) Keep the tree healthy and protect it while it is young and fragile. When young tie a stake for the branches but do not try the branches too hard, this will allow the tree to grow and give it a room to grow. Always put a fence around the tree as this will protect it from the small animals. It can also guard the base against strong winds and other bad weather.

If all this advice is taken heed off, you can be a proud owner of a healthy and a fruit bearing tree. Hopefully you’ll learn from the mistakes of others, and take great care of your tree. Just remember to always look up information on the type of tree you have, so that you can find out what exactly it requires.
