Turn the soil of the tree around on a regular basis as the pests could be hiding somewhere you cannot see and most of the time they are the most harmful ones.

Before you plant a tree always look up on the internet and get all the instructions on how to plant that particular tree. The base should be strong for the tree to stand tall. Always spread the roots while planting the tree this will make the tree stable and strong.
